So today whilst doing my reading up on what Ernie is up to this week I discovered on one site that if someone was to put their ear on my belly they might be able to hear the baby's heart beat. So I told Jochen this afternoon and asked if he wanted to give it a try. Which of course he did. Ernie was very active at the time but I wasn't really thinking too much about that.
Anyway just a few seconds after Jochen put his ear to my stomach I felt a great big kick right underneath where his ear was. Before I had a chance to say anything he said he felt a kick under his ear. What timing.
So our child has already given his father an ear bashing. It was pretty funny. Unfortunately Jochen wasn't able to hear the heart beat but we will give it a go another day and it might just work. Worth a try anyway.
What started out as another blog about pregnancy after infertility, became a story about the joys, worries, wonder and laughter created by our beautiful daughter Isabella and precious son Lucas.
