40 Weeks and Still Waiting

Well today, I can't believe that I'm actually saying this but - I'm 40 Weeks pregnant. That is just so amazing. Today is my due date. Thought perhaps that she might be one of the 3-5% that actually come on the day that they are due but I don't think that this is going to happen. Actually I did originally think that she might come early but that is definitely not going to happen now.

Last night Ernie was a little minx for a couple of hours, causing me extreme pain. Think she was head butting my cervix again and it was the sharpest pain it just took my breath away. She has done it a few times today as well but nothing like what it was yesterday thank goodness. The pain of her head butts were also setting off Braxton Hicks so I had that all happening as well.

Today I've been a bit cleany - wonder if I am nesting again. I've vacuumed the entire house this morning and sorted things out, trying to make each room look sort of tidy. Next I'm going to clean up the study because it is just so messy that I can't stand it anymore. I'm sick of things being all over the place although I know we are getting to the finishing end of the extension and renovation I'm just getting a bit sick of hammers, screw, nails and other bits and pieces being found all over the house. The last three days were quite good as now the laundry floor is tiled and all the curtains are up, although some of them still need to have their pelmets put up. Even Ken the electrician showed up on Friday to do some more work - although he still isn't finished yet. Sometimes I wonder if Ken will ever get finished.

Anyway, we continue with the waiting game called pregnancy. Who knows if my next blog entry will be about our daughters arrival or about me still waiting.
