OB Update

Today I went to see Dr. Simon by myself as Jochen was on day shift, luckily it was pretty uneventful. So just after the 32 week mark I can report that everything is going just fine.

My uterus is still measuring right for weeks - which is always good to know, my blood pressure was 90/60 which is good for me.. not too low and the little Miss is still head down (as she has been since Week 30).

At our next OB visit at just after 34 Weeks Dr. Simon is going to be away so we will be seeing the hospital registrar who could possibly be on duty when I go into labour. I think that it is better to meet him now and not for the first time when I'm wearing very little and feeling pretty scared and vulnerable anyway. Also the Maternity Department should have moved into the new area by then so I'm going to see if we can have the tour that we weren't able to do during our last Antenatal class as they hadn't finished it yet.

Overall though I can say I'm feeling pretty good although I'm still suffering from nausea. I have come to the conclusion that this is just the way it will be for me, especially when I am tired. So I'm trying to get lots of rest. Which of course everyone is taking great delight in telling me to "do this while I can, because I won't get any after Ernie has arrived". It is like everyone is almost rubbing it in and laughing at the sleep deprivation that we have yet to experience. Yes I'm sure it will be hard, very hard, but I'm just as sure that like everyone else, Jochen and I will get through it.
